MHCA TRAILS
Geiger Road Parking Area & Trail Head
One parking area is on Geiger Rd. is also the main entrance to Monocacy Hill trails. Entering through the gate you will come upon a bulletin board that holds a trail map and other information about the current status of trails. There is a holder for trail maps as well. To the right is a picnic area for hikers to enjoy. Charcoal grills are also provided for use unless there are fire/burning restrictions in effect (notices will be posted!). Proceeding on past the bulletin board, there are primitive bathroom facilities on the left (no running water). Going straight ahead on the main trail will lead to all of the trails shown on the maps below. There is now a new parking lot at the back edge of Monocacy Hill which you can access from the bottom of Hill Road. Follow the trail from the parking lot to Creek Trail to join with the other trails.
